A pair of mid-20th century Iranian (Persian) silver vases, Isfahan circa 1940 mark of Mehr Afshan Pahlavi dynasty, each of ovoid form with short necks. Each with chased mombatt kuri decoration of panels of a peony attended to by a long-tailed bird, interspersed by engraved ghalam zani vignettes with scroll work arabesques and foliate forms. The necks with corded rims above a rosette border. Each marked underneath with standard mark (۸۴) and workshop/retailer's mark. (2) Height – 12 cm / 4.5 inches Weight – 495 grams / 15.91 ozt
