A large and rare mid-18th century Flemish (Belgian) silver coffee or chocolate pot, Ghent 1747-48 by Jacobus van de Vyvere The lobed body of baluster form raised upon three tall claw and ball feet with asymmetrical rocaille scroll junctions. The spout with a rocaille cartouche opposite a wooden loop handle pinned to a fluted socket. The hinged domed lid with cavetto side, similarly lobed, surmounted by a lobed compressed screw thread knop finial. Marked underneath.
