A pair of George III sterling silver sauceboats, London 1772 by John Parker and Edward Wakelin Each of bellied form with gadrooned rims interspaced with shell scrolls, and to the underside of lip, all raised on three splay shell and scroll feet with shell form junctions. The acanthus capped double C scroll handle with a petal form lower junction and a shell form upper junction. Each engraved to the side with a crest of issuing from a mural coronet a boar’s head. Each fully marked underneath, one with scratch weight 14”13 and the other with 14”8.
