来源Brigadier Gordon Richardson(1910-1998)将军收藏，此后家族传承此摆件采用纯正的和田白玉琢制而成。其玉料纯净无瑕，致密凝润。采用立体圆雕、镂雕、浮雕等多种技法，因材施艺琢制而成。以一莲藕作为承托，周围长出茎蔓蜿蜒而上，分别琢出莲叶、莲蓬、花苞及盛开的莲花，形态婀娜多姿。莲叶舒展，莲蓬丰硕，莲花饱满。生动的表现出一幅荷塘春水图景，意境悠远恬静，画面动人。整件作品张弛有度，细节琢磨一丝不苟，充分地体现出了玉工的精湛技艺。其题材清新雅致，也反映出了清代上层社会对文人化生活的追求。
