Painter specialized in genre scenes, landscape and flower paintings, Genís Capdevila participated, between 1894 and 1929, in most of the exhibitions held in Barcelona. His contribution to the Universal Exposition of Barcelona in 1929, a large canvas entitled "Primavera" (Spring), is particularly noteworthy. He was also a member of the Agrupación de Acuarelistas de Cataluña. In 1936, on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of his death, a group of friends and admirers held an event in his memory in Barcelona. Genís Capdevila is currently represented in the MACBA, as well as in outstanding collections such as the Joaquín Rivero. Dimensions 80 x 162 cm; 94 x 175 cm (frame).
