A polished double-edged fossiliferous limestone battle axe with raised corners, middle part with vertical shaft hole for the insertion of the wooden haft. From an important North West London collection; acquired in the late 1980s-early 1990s. The item can be referred to typologies documented in Central Northern Europe, and in particular in the context of Funnelbeaker culture and in the early stages of the Corded Ware Culture.
