A silver pendant formed as a ribbed bulb, with chevrons to four ribs and domes with gilt centres to another four, band of chevrons at the neck, flared finial with two ribbed suspension loops above and a flared foot with band of gilt discs below. See Maxwell-Hyslop, K.R., Western Asiatic Jewellery, c.3000-612 BC, London, 1971, fig.127, for comparable flared terminal on a different type of jewellery item. 130 grams, 90mm (3 1/2"). From a private family collection formed in London from the mid 1980s-early 1990s; this lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by AIAD certificate number no.10664-174202.
