此件玉印为和阗白玉制成，玉质细腻温润。椭圆形印体，周饰卷云纹。印体上雕作瑞兽钮，瑞兽回首站立，头形似羊，双目炯炯。身躯圆浑，四爪有力，长尾下垂卷曲，细节琢刻精到，造型生动。印面篆书琢刻“秀起堂”。整器包浆浑厚，具有浓郁的清代早期宫廷玉印风格特征。 秀起堂建于乾隆二十七年，位于承德避暑山庄西峪谷地，是避暑山庄园林中较为典型的代表。
