炉长方口，直腹，平底沿边四角圆润成四足支撑，双如意方耳对称工整。马槽炉长方形貌，形似马槽得名。器壁施以错银丝技法，腹部中央饰饕餮纹，古拙凛然。此炉形制简约奇峻，炉壁厚薄均匀，手感沉稳，气韵凝聚，质地细腻，蜡茶古韵，宝光内蕴，包浆柔腻，工艺考究，古韵风雅，为文玩清供之佳器。
