铭文： 菊畦藏砚。砚箱铭文： 云月砚。
砚为端溪佳石所制，长方，正面磨平，上部有明媚石眼一枚，灿烂如明月在空。砚背雕云纹，雕刻文雅，与正面之石眼呼应，故题名曰云月砚。配紫檀木砚盒及砚箱。藏家简介： 盛支焯(1684～1762)，字贲园，晚号菊畦。秀水 (今嘉兴)人。盛枫子。雍正元年举人，历任广西贵县、天保、河南叶县等县知县。晚年致力考古订讹，尝手辑小册曰《备忘》。父撰《征献录》，未竟而没，支焯补苴参校，用心垂三十年而成书。有诗文制艺稿若干卷。
