周璕（1649—1729），字昆来，上元（今南京）人。按读画辑略作“河南嵩山人，后入江宁籍”，历代画史汇传引画徵录作“号嵩山”，考画徵录无此三字。工人物、花卉、龙马，其画龙烘染至百规。以拳勇名，尤精峨嵋枪法。尝画龙，悬黄鹤楼索值百两。有武弁欲强夺，与斗不胜，闻之丁制府师孔，一见赏之，畀百两不受。曰：“非必得金，聊以岘世眼耳。遇知己，当为赠。”由是知名。
