AN IMPERIAL YELLOW GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE, EARLY 18TH- EARLY 19TH CENTURY China. The flattened circular body rising from an oval foot to a straight cylindrical neck, the shoulders with two carved beast masks in high relief, suspending mock ring handles. The transparent glass of a rich yellow tone.

Provenance: From a French private collection, by repute acquired from Millon Jutheau on 1 March 1984, lot 76.
Condition: Good condition with little wear, some nibbling to lip and foot rim. Manufacturing flaws such as bubbles and swirls.

Stopper: Jadeite stopper, carved spoon.
Weight: 31 g
Dimensions: Height including stopper 58 mm. Diameter neck 15 mm and mouth 8 mm.
