A ‘REALGAR’ GLASS SNUFF BOTTLE, 18TH-19TH CENTURY China. Of flattened ovoid form with a tapered neck, standing on an oval foot ring with recessed base, the body displaying a rich array of red patches on orange and tan ground.

Provenance: Property from the Rubin family of St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
Condition: Good condition with some manufacturing irregularities such as open bubbles, a chip to the lip, some nibbling to lip and base.

Stopper: Hardstone stopper, carved spoon
