Morrice), 438 pages and two folding plates, full calf gilt titled red Morocco to spine, 4to.A rare volume in that it includes the fine frontispiece engraved by John Evelyn which is notable in horological circles as amongst the objects in the background is the only known representation one of the two longitude pendulum sea clocksmissioned in around 1662 by Alexander Bruce, Earl of Kincardine.
