Circa 900-1000 AD A gold ring with oval shaped bezel, a thick band which tapers from the shoulder around the hoop. A finelly modelled example with weight. A solid piece of Viking jewellery. The item has undergone X-ray fluorescence analysis to confirm the metallurgical content suggesting its ancient origin and lack of modern trace elements.
