Circa 400 AD A gold pendant in ide down "V" shape, the rim is decorated with filigree which roles elegantly along the top, the centre has filigree in the shape of three diamonds which central granules, on the exterior four large granules are shown, below the pieces a triage of gold circular openwork filigree adorn the bottom highlighting its granditure. The pendant has a loop at the top of which is connected with a faience blue bead, this is connected with a large wire which is in the twisted motion, connected to a gold necklace. Necklace possibly later. Size: L:46.6mm / W:22mm; 5.5g Provenance: Property of a London Ancient Art Gallery; formerly in the famous Alison Barker collection, a retired London barrister; acquired between early 1960s to 1990s.
