Circa 1800 AD Ottoman Quran copied and made by Ahmed Nazifi. The dedication inscription also refers to Ahmed Nazifis teacher the Hafiz Mustafa al Sukri. Written in Arabic Naskh script, with floral polychrome medallions and verse markers. Gorgeous illuminated double carpet pages. Gilded with Rococo style doubles, with gilded leather cover. Size: L:156mm / W:114mm; 330g Provenance: From a Private London collection of Mr. K.A.; previously acquired from a UK collector in 2002.
