Circa 200-300 AD A schist fragment depicting a clenched hand with delicate incised decoration to the nails of the fingers, the tips stretching in a diagonal motion, possibly holding a lotus offering. The robe is well sleeve is well defined. One can only assume the staute was of high quality. Mounted on a custom-made stand. Size: L:230mm / W:84mm; 1.6kg (with stand) Provenance: From the collection of a London gentleman; formerly acquired in early 2000s in Belgium; previously in 1970s European collection.
