A PAIR OF PAINTED LACQUERED HARDWOOD ARMCHAIRS19th centuryThe toprail supported by an S-shaped splat divided in three panels, the top one carved in openwork with a swirling dragon, the central panel painted with figures in a mountainous river landscape, the bottom with aruyi head shape openwork, the sinuous arms supported by waisted side posts, the rectangular hard seat supported on circular legs joined by a curved apron above stepped stretchers.107.5cm (42 3/8in) high x 56cm (22in) wide x 43cm (16 7/8in) deep (2).For further information on this lot please visit theCondition Report: General rub and wear. Discoloration with a lighter colour of the wood to some corners/edges. Surface scratches and small dents. Some water stains, especially to the hard seats, and humidity stains.
