TWO SECTION OF BROWN BROCADES AND A LARGE SILK TABLE COVERINGLate 17th centuryThe two ochre brocades with a band of chasing dragons on a clouds background, one with a section of a central dragon roundel; the table covering made out ofposite different brocades and embroidered panels, with one central gold thread dragon panel framed by two blue-ground dragon roundels.The table cover: 258cm (101 1/2in) high x 143.5cm (56 1/2in) wide (3).For further information on this lot please visit theCondition Report: Both quite worn.The brocades: stains and threads pulling where they have been cut. Small tears and sew up areas.The table cloth: scattered stains. Thread pulling, particularly intense on the central dragon, which also present re-sewing with patches to the back. Some added cloth toplete brocades of one of the borders.Provenance: Provenance: Collection of Mrs. Inger Lissanevitch (1928-2013) and thence by descent.
