Ca. 1550-1200 BC A nice example of a painted pottery bilbil vessel composed of a flattened lower body, slender cylindrical neck leading to a flared rim. To the rear, a loop handle connects the neck with the shoulder. Found in Samaria, north of Jerusalem, Israel. Size: L:130mm / W:75mm ; 95g Provenance: Property of a London gallery; formely in High Wycombe Estate collection; formerly acquired from Israel Art Gallery (accompanied by original Certificate of Authenticity).
