柳子谷，名习斌，号怀玉山人，堂号双翔阁。江西玉山人。1924年入上海美专，1934 年任南京美术专科学校国画系教授，1949年后在沈阳师范学院、辽宁大学、山东艺术学院任教。工花鸟、山水、人物，尤精兰竹。与徐悲鸿、张书旗被称为画坛的“金陵三杰”。曾为中国美协会员、山东艺术学院教授。
款识：山空寂静人声绝，栖鸟数声春雨余。鸿森同志教正。丙辰六月，柳子谷。
