上师是藏传佛教对具有高德盛行、堪为世人规范者的尊称，在藏传佛教的修行中占有重要地位。此尊面容方阔，带有微笑，表情刻划生动传神，眉骨突出，直鼻高挺，极为写实，给人一种超越凡人的亲切感，表现出上师点醒世人灵台觉性时的欢喜心情。该造像。衣褶处理饱满流畅，錾刻清晰，极具织物的柔软质感。工艺细致纯熟。造像结全跏趺而坐在的双层莲花座上，双手结法印于胸前。造像具有很强的写实风格，形体比例精准、相貌特征写实传神、制作工艺娴熟精准，反映了清代最高的铜雕塑艺术水准。整像胎体厚重，因年代久远，镀金磨损，上师整体颜色偏暗，但造型生动，刻画细腻。
