墨床，亦称墨架、墨台，是专门用来承搁墨锭的小案架，文房用具之一。墨磨后湿润，乱放容易玷污他物，故制墨床以搁墨。墨床以墨定形，通常不会太大，宽不过二指，长不过三寸，造型多案架形、座托形、书卷形、博古架形，或曲折，或简练，深受历代文人墨客的青睐。 此作材质战国红玛瑙，玛瑙整块雕成书卷型，光素无纹，仅以线条取胜，尤为难得是此件玛瑙花纹艳美通透，若影似霞，变化万千，在玛瑙中颇为少见，为战国红文房用品之中的精品小件。 来源：日本藏家旧藏
