屏面取材宽大的竹片贴竹黄雕制成，一面留青刻画山水人物故事图。包浆色泽深沉，雕刻苍劲有力。以竹黄贴嵌在硬木上作装饰纹样在清代时较为流行，多用于室内装修及屏风制作，清宫里也多有使用，乾隆当太上皇时居住的“倦勤斋”内即有大量嵌竹黄制品。
