本品为藏式龙袍，交领，右衽，平袖，不开裾，袍身以整幅杏黄地云龙纹妆花织金缎拼合而成。袍身正面与背面各饰一巨型升龙，龙体片金织成，金光璀璨，周身缠绕红蓝二色祥云，下方五彩海水江崖间饰杂宝。两肩至袖亦饰升龙二，体型较小。有清一代将内地生产的大量珍贵纺织匹料赏赐入藏地，西藏贵族取其中华丽者依照形制做成藏式龙袍，形制与一般朝服有别。此藏袍织工繁复，纹饰华丽，保存良好，故宫博物院藏的一件金地绣五彩云龙纹袍料，与本拍品风格相近。 参阅：故宫博物院藏文物珍品大系—明清织绣，第181页，图202号，清顺治金地绣五彩云龙袍料。
