来源美国私人收藏出版Michael C. Teller IV，《Royal Chinese Treasures: Tang and Song Dynasties》，维珍尼亚威廉斯堡，1991年，页50-51，图版25此盘錾刻牡丹纹饰，雕刻之刀如笔描绘，写真动人，线条细腻精美，雕刻章法有度，构思精妙，雕饰之功力非同一般，同类纹饰及形制可见宋代定窑白瓷作品。类似宋代牡丹纹圆形金盘见于Carl Kempe收藏。
