Altar front. Spain, 18th century. Carved and polychrome wood. Faults, losses, repainting and restorations. Measurements: 98 x 51 x 193 cm. Spanish altar front. The piece presents a rectangular structure and is resolved in late-baroque language. Carved and gilded elements are combined with paint that simulates different types of marbled marble. A cross with a flamboyant start is inscribed in a tondo with a grooved profile. The sides have pilasters topped with vegetal corbels, carved in the form of scrolls. Rhomboidal mouldings decorate the flanks. The top has a projecting profile, and a moulded plinth decorates the lower part of the front.
