It was devised in 1993. The Graficario 93 was an initiative carried out by the New Latin American Cinema Foundation, with the intention of raising funds through art. The New Latin American Cinema Foundation is a non-profit cultural initiative that seeks to promote and raise awareness of Latin American cinema, promoting initiatives that defend its cultural identity. The association was founded in 1985 by the Committee of Latin American Filmmakers.
