ABIEZEER AGUDELO (Trujillo, Colombia, 1964)."Dream reception, or multiplicity", 2015.Mixed media on canvas.Attached certificate with digital signature, issued by the author. No stretcher frame.Signed and dated in the lower right corner.Measurements: 81 x 152 cm.Abiezeer Agudelo began his interest in art at a very early age, it was during his final period in high school when he decided to send one of his works to the "Encuentro de Artista de la Zona Central del País", obtaining the fifth prize. Once he finished his high school studies, one of his works was chosen to complete an exhibition at the National Museum of Bogota, a fact that inspired him to focus his career and develop his artistic interest at a professional level. His work is characterised by constant experimentation through the use of different media. Aesthetically he advocates firm and loose strokes close to expressionism, always showing a great interest in drawing. In fact, the artist himself comments "I am classic within drawing and the aesthetics of this, and colour is an adventure of contrast and discovery of the workshop, the love of classic drawing makes the outlines dreamy, charming and aesthetic above all, because art must be beautiful, ugliness is also beautiful like the work of Jose Luis Cueva". In spite of this, his work also reflects characteristics close to attraction, trying to combine emotional references through colour. Regarding his professional career it is worth mentioning that his first exhibition was in 1977 in the house of culture of La Tebaida and since then he has had numerous exhibitions both nationally and internationally. Examples are the exhibitions at the Ibero-American Cultural Centre, Cannin-House London, the Paula Vicenti Gallery in Marbella, the Ro Gallery in Long Island, the Andean Parliament in Bogota, the Jaime Ruiz Gallery in Bogota. Or the Club de Comercio, Pereira in the United States. He has also been awarded on numerous occasions, gaining the recognition of both the public and the critics, among his most outstanding awards are the First place XI of the Salón de Artista Quindanos in the Maqui Museum, the Colombian Painter for Peace Prize, awarded by the UN and the Fusevida Foundation, and the Paleta de Plata (Silver Palette). His work has also been featured in several publications such as Karisma, Semana, Cambio, Nación Sana, El espectador, La Crónica, El país, Prensa Latina in London, Artistas del Viejo Caldas, etc.
