此拍品用料讲究，红豆杉独板。皮壳包浆浓厚，历经岁月的风化更显古拙质朴。匾心题跋部分题刻《陋室铭》诗文：“山不在高，有仙则名。水不在深，有龙则灵。斯是陋室，惟吾德馨。苔痕上阶绿，草色入帘青。谈笑有鸿儒，往来无白丁。可以调素琴，阅金经。无丝竹之乱耳。”以“陋室”为书斋命名，足见书斋主人高洁的志向，及其超然物外的隐士情怀。
