Two plates from the Arracada series; Catalonia, late 18th century. Glazed ceramic. They show faults in the polychromy, chips and chipping on the sides. Measurements: the largest is 21 cm in diameter. The arracada series is one of the blue series of the Alcoreña influence in Baroque Catalonia, and is characterised by the motif that decorates its eaves, synthetic lines that are a popular interpretation of the neoclassical pavilions, in this case composed of plant elements. The arracada series developed from the end of the 18th century and throughout the 19th century, and usually features simple floral motifs on the seat.
