Antique Spanish brazier from the 19th century, made of gilded copper, it consists of a base, brazier and a basin to stir the fire. Side handles decorated with faces of angels. The metal domestic brazier was a concave container generally fitted with a lid with slits through which the heat escaped. There were some more modest ones that simply had a metal grill so as not to burn. In order to avoid contact with the ground, the more expensive models usually included a foot or stand, sometimes highly decorated with the shapes of animal paws or claws.
