MANUEL ROCAMORA VIDAL (Barcelona, 1892 - 1976). "Landscape". Oil on canvas. Signed in the lower right corner. Size: 46 x 56 cm; 60 x 70 cm (frame). Collector, painter and historian, Manuel Rocamora trained at the School of Fine Arts of La Lonja in Barcelona, where he was a disciple of Félix Mestres. In 1929 he made his individual debut at the Barcelona gallery La Pinacoteca, and that same year he won the gold medal in the Masriera competition. As a member of the Barcelona Salon, from the 1930s onwards he organised various individual exhibitions, where he showed his works of a realism rendered with sensitivity and lyricism. On his death, he bequeathed his collection to the Foundation that bears his name, as well as a large quantity of historical clothing to the Textile and Clothing Museum of Barcelona.
