Pair of Baluster vases with expressive ‘Wucai’ painting. The wall shows a revolving decoration in ‘100 Antiquities’ style. Depiction of vases, antique vessels and small furniture in a garden setting with auspicious flowers and fruits, including chrysanthemum flowers, pomegranates, peaches and prunus blossoms. Verso with banana tree. On the shoulder a narrow red border with ornamental foliage. The neck with a ‘flower and rock’ border. The glazed and slightly recessed base with underglaze blue double-circle mark. Both vases with a carved wooden domed cover in openwork decoration (later addition).

Dimensions: 30 cm (height without cover), 23 cm (width), 10 cm (inner diameter of the mouth)
Condition: Overall good condition, minimal traces of age and use, one vase with minimal hairline fissure to the base
