Opaque dark brown nephrite jade with lighter cloudy pattern and yellowish veining, very smooth surface polish. China, Song Dynasty (960-1279)

Elegant ring of regular outline with convex surface and rounded sides, the outside surface with flat revolving relief carving of six symmetrical stylized Taotie masks in rectangular shape, the masks with fine involute brows running into a thin nose and without eyes, each mask framed by thin geometrical C-scrolls creating an overall regular cartouche.

Dimensions: 8,3 cm (outer diameter), 0,6 cm (width)
Condition: Good condition with very minor scratches as typical traces of age, the inner surface with a very fine grooved drilling as a typical trace of the production process
