TWO THANGKAS OF AVALOKISTESVARA AND BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNITibet, 19th centuryThe eleven-headed Avolikitesvara with gold skin standing on a lotus pedestal with a large mandorla to his back, surrounded by four figures of Buddha Shakyamuni, Manjushri and Vajrapani; and a Buddha Shakyamuni with gold skin seated on a lotus pedestal surrounded by four figures of guardians.
