He is an associate professor at Indus Valley School of Arts and his works have been exhibited at Interior Gallery, Islamabad, Clifton Art Gallery, Karachi, Indus Gallery, Karachi, Nomad Art Gallery, Islamabad and Ejaz Art Gallery, Lahore. In 1994 he participated in California's Pacific Asia Museum group show titled 'A Selection of Contemporary Paintings from Pakistan' and in the group exhibition of Pakistani Artists, titled '50 Years of Pakistan,' held in London. He is most well known for his 'Thar series' which depicts rural Pakistani women adorned with their resplendent jewellery and traditionally colourful clothes, examples of which can be seen in the two lots on offer in this auction. He also paints Karachi's cityscapes, including street vendors, busy shoppers and people moving through traffic. His work illustrating the history of Pakistan is displayed at the National Defence College, Islamabad, for which he was commissioned in 1998.
