和田白玉质，其质润白，触之柔滑，色若凝脂，温润油亮。以高浮雕、镂雕及活环套接工艺雕琢。瓶身圆润，子母口；腹圆鼓，椭圆形底。瓶身正、反两面高浮雕手法琢两条螭龙，龙身蜿蜒，圆眼粗眉，四肢强健，长尾分叉卷曲，威武异常。一螭龙尾部上扬至瓶身侧面与活环链条及瓶盖成为一体，链条整挖，其工艺十分精湛。瓶身另一侧面镂雕小龙似耳形，身体修长，小巧灵动。此瓶费工耗料，制作严谨，纹饰颇具神韵，内部掏膛精细，为陈设器之精品，应为宫廷之物。
