此件笔筒选用黄玉为材，整挖而成，玉质光润，包浆醇和，细腻莹泽，表面受沁。筒璧内掏膛精细，外壁琢刻松鹤延年题材纹饰。双鹤，一鹤伫立，探爪扬首，翅羽分明；一鹤曲颈长喙，飞于松林之间。松针团簇，层层叠叠，成荫掩映。松、鹤有长寿之意，故又有松鹤延年的美意。整体布局合理美观，图案连贯，以刀代笔，尽显画意。用料厚实，纹饰精美，雕工精湛。实属文房精品，收藏摆放俱佳。
