A Tibetan bronze Yama Dharamaraja figure, dating from the 19th century. The fierce looking Buddha figure stands, with bronze pegs inserted into holes in the cow's back, arms outstretched. Detail in the Buddha head and outfit with beads. Also the horse with more beads and a figure lying on its back directly under the horse. Base has layer of metal sealing it. Yama Dharmaraja is the Tantric Buddbhist wisdom deity, protector of the Anuttaryoga Tantra specifically used by those engaged in the practices of the Vajrabhairava TantreaH. 8 1/2" (21.6 cm)Condition: good condition overall with minor surface wear
