A pair of Chinese gilt bronze Buddha figures on stands, dating from the Tang dynasty (618-906). Each small bronze figure attached to a stand is standing in their robes. One has hands clasped together in front in prayer, the other arms at sides.Taller buddha: H. 5 5/8" (14.2 cm)Provenance: collection of Raymmonde Feron stoclet(1897-1963), please note this lot now belongs to a Maryland private collection, acquired in Paris in the early 90sCondition: Both in good condition overall with surface wear and losses to gilding throughout, smaller figure missing the tip point of the crown behind his head.
