Description A WOOD FIGURE OF LIU HAI CATCHING THE THREE-LEGGED TOAD, 1900sChina, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). Carved as Liu Hai with a young assistant catching the three-legged toad with a rope. Lui Hai is holding a cash coin and raising his left leg, carrying a double gourd, his face with a joyful expression, backed by a radiating halo, all eyes inlaid in glass.Condition: Very good condition, minor wear, few natural age cracks, the foot of the base repaired.
