Description A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE 'EAGLE AND SNAKE' PENDANT, c. 1920sChina, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). Carved as a bird of prey in flight and a coiled snake flicking its tongue. The stone of a pale celadon hue with russet, black, ochre and chocolate-brown areas, well-polished. The top pierced for suspension.Condition: Excellent good condition with minor surface wear. Provenance: The collection of The Zelnik István Southeast Asian Gold Museum. Institutional art collection in Belgium, acquired from the above.
