Description A LOT WITH A WOOD MASK NESUKE OF HYOTTOKO AND A CERAMIC MASK NETSUKEJapan, Edo period (1615-1868) - Meiji period (1868-1912)The first a ceramic netsuke depicting a man with a grinning facial expression, furrowed eyebrows above bulging eyes, a long nose with broad nostrils, slender lips forming a wicked smile and a headband, the backside with two large himotoshi. The ceramic painted with beige, black and red enamels. The second a wooden netsuke carved as a hyottoko mask portraying a humorous expression, with a broad nose and the lips forming a puckered mouth. The backside bridge with a single himotoshi.HEIGHT 4.2 and 4.6 cmCondition: Overall good condition with expected traces of wear and age.
