張韶石，廣東番禺人，依伯父張純初生活並從其學畫，後師從鄧芬學畫。畢生致力於中國畫藝。張韶石精擅花卉畫，設色妍雅富麗兼而有之，筆觸流麗柔暢，更以繪牡丹著稱於世，素享“牡丹王”美譽，間亦繪畫人物、仕女、山水等。
（一）瑟瑟西風蘆荻踈，秋江露冷落美蕖。莖間閑立漁翁鳥，水際微窺詩捕魚。
