Ca. 300 BC (or later). Ca. 300 BC (or later). A magnificent 21k gold bracelet formed of a coiled hollow gold rod with a flat interior and a slightly rounded exterior. The exterior surface is adorned with evenly spaced and intricately designed quatrefoil filigree patterns, decorative collars, and tapering finials resembling ram heads, further embellished with filigree decoration, adding depth and dimensionality to the bracelet. Ram heads, identified by their coiled horns, were a common element in Hellenistic jewelry, representing strength, virility, and a leader and protector of the flock. The Hellenistic era, spanning from the death of Alexander the Great in 323 BCE to the Roman conquest of Greece in 146 BCE, was known for its artistic achievements in various fields, including jewelry-making.
