Ca. 100-300 AD. A lovely gold pendant of a spherical body with a ribbed suspension loop and filigree adornments. Gold jewellery played a significant role in the Roman world, and was a symbol of wealth and power. It was used to decorate the clothing of the wealthy, and it was often made with intricate designs, incorporating images of gods and goddesses, animals, and other symbols of the Roman world.
