A Chinese bronze ritual food vessel , gui, Western Zhou Dynasty, with dragon handles and mottled brownish patina, with some green encrustation, e xhibition labels for Cape Town 1953, Radcliffe collection 'J5' and BADA, 23cm wide x 11.4cm high, 1,156 grams Compare with a similar bronze gui excavated from Tomb No. 6195, Tianma Qucun site in Shangxi Province in 1984, at the Sackler Museum of Art and Archaeology at Peking University, museum accession number 95.5775/M6195:31 Provenance: Shipped by Captain W.F.
