Two Japanese miniature mixed metal pots. dated to Meiji Period, The larger one, covered, has a smooth round body with a raised frog and a metal rope band around the center. Possibly used for ink, the thin cover flips up on a hinge, the top featuring raised multiple fish decoration. The other, smaller pot has no cover, with raised mixed metal frog, snail, and caterpillar or insect over the circular incised bands of design.Larger: H. 2 1/8" (5.4 cm), D. 1 7/8" (4.7 cm). Smaller: H. 2" (5.1 cm)Condition : Larger pot missing two tiny animals from the body, with the frog left.
